Fronted by the hard-not-to-love Jarvis Cocker, the band’s touring plans for next year will include headline slots at Latitude and TRNSMT festivals, two hometown headline shows in Sheffield, a London gig at Finsbury Park and more. The Sheffield band’s appearance at Latitude will coincide with the 25th anniversary of their sixth album, This Is Hardcore. They’re set to play on the Friday night at the festival, with Paolo Nutini and George Ezra among the other headline acts. The band’s live show reunion has been rumoured for a little while, with Cocker having teased as much for a brief video earlier this year, which asked: ‘What exactly do you do for an encore?’
The Britpop band last performed in 2012, in front of 12,000 people – although they did reconvene earlier this year for a then one-off Glastonbury set. Fans will now get a fuller chance to see the band live, reeling off the likes of their hits ‘Common People’, ‘Disco 2000’ and ‘Babies’.
