Quavo has released a new song, WITHOUT YOU a tribute to his nephew and Migos bandmate Takeoff, who was shot and killed last November.

The music video released alongside the track sees Quavo sitting in a studio smoking, listening to the song as he reminisces, missing his late friend.

“Out in the galaxy, up in the stars/Over the universe, it’s bigger than Mars/See you in heaven, see you heaven/When I see you in heaven, I’ma be with my dog,” Quavo sings on the chorus.

Takeoff was shot on November 1 in Houston while with Quavo. The incident was alleged to stem from a disagreement over a game of dice.

Best known for their being part of the Atlanta hip-hop trio Migos, alongside third member Offset, Quavo and Takeoff branched out and released their debut album, Only Built for Infinity Links, last year.

That release is referenced on the song new, with Quavo rapping: “I wish I had a time machine/Just so you take a ride with me/I miss just how you smile at me/Unc & Phew until infinity.”
