In a move sure to have the Rice Crispie Trio quaking in their little gnomic boots, rapper/actor/entrepreneur Snoop Dogg has unveiled his latest venture in the form of technicolour breakfast cereal ‘Snoop Loopz.’ Promising “more corn, more flavor and more marshmallows,” the cereal was announced by fellow rapper Master P this weekend, who posted a photo of the box on Instagram. And it sounds like Mr. Dogg has high hopes for the sugar-stuffed snack. Master P promised “The best tasting cereal in the game, [Snoop Dogg], we’re taking over grocery stores”. A release date for the eagerly anticipated snack has yet to be announced.
Snoop Loopz are just the latest arrow in the rapper’s gastronomic quiver: earlier in 2022 he collaborated with Martha Stewart to add a new wine to his 19 Crimes brand, which already encompasses a number of California reds and rosés. Broadus Foods, Snoop Dogg’s own food distribution company, already sells a variety of Snoop-branded breakfast options, including oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup. With this latest masterstroke, Snoop Dogg further cements himself as one of the world’s foremost rapper-turned culinary experts, joining the likes of The Kid Laroi and Kanye West, who both lent their image to McDonald’s in support of a specialty food order and re-imagined burger packaging respectively. According to snooploopz.com, sales of the cereal will also be used in part to support homeless charity ‘Door of Hope,’ a Christian non-profit organisation based in Los Angeles, so customers can triple their recommended sugar allowance while giving back to the community at the same time.View this post on Instagram
