Christine and the Queens, the trailblazing French artist known for pushing the boundaries of pop music, has released a new single, ‘Rentrer Chez Moi’.
This latest work follows his critically acclaimed projects Redcar and Paranoïa, Angels, True Love, which showcased some of his most provocative and emotionally charged music to date.
The new track is described as a “bold, striking slice of alt-pop” that is steeped in emotional resonance. In a heartfelt statement shared online, the artist expressed the deep personal connection to the song, stating, “This song makes me cry because it is true, so much love I have for you, this deep decision to always stay honest – for the dance to be then the shared moment, the joyful celebration. One moment together. A wholesome surrender. One love, from one to the next, before I danced for this video I listened to Barbara. I remember. Her dancing in the living room, her approach of movement. A celebration, A sharing. A dance that would express the inside of you, as a poem.”
Continuing to explore new creative avenues, Christine and the Queens hosted London’s Meltdown festival last summer, further solidifying his status as a leading figure in contemporary music. The single ‘Rentrer Chez Moi’ is entirely self-written, composed, and produced by the artist, marking another milestone in his career.
The release is accompanied by a music video directed by Sasha Mongin and produced by Premier Cri, shot in Paris and Hanches. This visual component complements the song’s introspective lyrics and artistic depth, offering fans a rich, multi-sensory experience.
