‘Just Another Rainbow’ boasts Squire’s psychedelic guitar riffs that pair perfectly with Liam’s dynamic vocals, creating a track that blends melodic charm with rock intensity. It’s a fresh yet familiar sound that fans have eagerly awaited.
Reflecting on the track, John Squire explains, “It’s about disappointment, and how you never get what you really want. But I think it’s also one of the most uplifting tracks we’ve made together, which is weird.”

The roots of this partnership go way back to 1989 when a 16-year-old Liam attended a life-changing Stone Roses gig in Manchester. Then, their paths crossed again in Monmouth, Wales, during the early stages of their respective, arguably seminal, albums, Definitely Maybe and The Second Coming.
Their collaborative journey truly took off following Squire’s exhilarating performance at Liam’s massive Knebworth Park show. The idea for a joint project quickly evolved, with John sending Liam a batch of songs, which they then fine-tuned remotely. Drawing inspiration from musical greats like Hendrix, The Pistols, and even The Bee Gees, they’ve crafted a collection of impressive tracks.

The duo’s synergy was undeniable as they worked on the demos, laying down vocals and fleshing out their vision with acclaimed producer Greg Kurstin. The result? A musical intuition so natural, it felt like they had always been a band.
