Liam Gallagher John Squires Just Another Rainbow

They’ve been the gift that keeps on giving this past week, and now the collaborative magic of Liam Gallagher and John Squire has been brought to life in the new video for their debut track, ‘Just Another Rainbow’.

The song’s already soared into the Top 10 midweeks, marking the week’s highest new entry.

Set in an abandoned railway tunnel, the video captures Liam and John at their charismatic best, leading the band through a high-energy performance. The footage is beautifully intertwined with psychedelic imagery, echoing the duo’s deep-rooted influences and style.

Directed by Charles Mehling, known for his work with The Rolling Stones and Kasabian, the video was filmed in Bury and adds a visually stunning dimension to the already popular song.

The release of ‘Just Another Rainbow’ has been met with international media buzz. It can be aptly summarised as a blend of Gallagher’s vocals and Squire’s Second Coming style – a combination that has thrilled fans.

The story behind Gallagher and Squire’s collaboration is a testament to their long-standing mutual respect. Having met during the creation of their respective legendary albums, Definitely Maybe and The Second Coming, their friendship and mutual admiration have only grown over the years. This bond was notably highlighted by John’s surprise appearance at Liam’s Knebworth Park show in 2022.

The duo’s shared influences, including Hendrix, The Sex Pistols, The Faces, Bob Marley, and The Bee Gees, have played a key role in shaping their new music. The culmination of their efforts was realized in Los Angeles, where they worked alongside acclaimed producer Greg Kurstin, with Joey Waronker providing the beats.

With the release of ‘Just Another Rainbow’, fans are eagerly anticipating what lies ahead for this Gallagher/Squire project. Stay tuned for more updates on the year’s most exciting collab.
