With their sound already creating waves, Stone are cementing their place as next-wave contenders.

Characterised by their dynamic blend of punk, garage rock, and electronica, Stone’s new single (listen here), accompanied by a visually captivating visualiser (watch below), embodies the band’s knack for capturing the tumult of young adulthood. Vocalist Fin Power shares, “This album speaks for everyone’s experiences… It’s about community, passion, love, hate, singing, dancing: all of that comes into it.”

‘My Thoughts Go’ serves as a perfect introduction to Stone’s sound, merging simplicity with a nod to the revered indie bands of the northwest yet brimming with contemporary energy. The track explores the nuanced feelings of anxiety and thrill following a drunken confession of love, encapsulating the dualities that define youth.

Recorded in Vermont with renowned producer Rich Costey, Fear Life For A Lifetime is a testament to Stone’s exploration of varied musical landscapes, from post-punk to indie anthems, infused with a raw edge and relatable lyricism. The album promises to be a communal touchstone for listeners navigating the complexities of love, ambition, and self-doubt.

Comprising Elliot Gill on guitar, Sarah Surrage on bass, and Alex Smith on drums, Stone’s journey from an ambitious project to a fully realized band is a testament to their shared vision and tenacity. The addition of Surrage, in particular, brought a new dynamic to the group, solidifying their resolve to succeed without a backup plan.
