As well as adding to the festival’s musical offering, Latitude organisers have unveiled extra names for their comedy billing, including Ed Gamble, Bridget Christie, Sara Pascoe and Romesh Ranganathan. Yard Act released their Mercury Prize-nominated album The Overload last year, and Mimi Webb will add to the respectable list of names on the Latitude billing already, which notably includes Pulp as part of the Jarvis Cocker-led band’s reunion tour on the Friday night headline slot. Paolo Nutini will headline the Saturday slot, while George Ezra– recently nominated for Artist of the Year at this year’s BRIT Awards – will headline on the Sunday to conclude the festival.
Also playing on Sunday, as part of the festival’s Sunday lunchtime slot, will be James, who’ll perform with a full-piece orchestra and a gospel choir to mark four decades since they formed in Whalley Range, Manchester. Other standout names playing across the weekend include Confidence Man, Dry Cleaning, Warmduscher, Teddy Swims, The Big Moon, The Kooks, Metronomy and Young Fathers, as part of a festival that’s often deemed rather wholesome in both its lineup and offstage shenanigans.
